These terms are an agreement between you and MIT Games ("we", "us", "our") for the mobile game Routeville (Android package online.mitgames.routeville). By downloading or playing the game you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to play Routeville. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms on your behalf.
2. Your licence to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download and play Routeville on your own devices for your own entertainment. You may not copy, sell, rent, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the game or any part of it, except where the law allows this anyway.
3. Your account
- You can play as a guest. Guest progress is stored only on your phone, and we can't recover it if the game's data is lost.
- You can sign in with your Google account to save your progress in the cloud and appear on the ranking boards. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account or on our account deletion page.
4. Display names
Your display name appears on public ranking boards. It must not be offensive, hateful or sexual, must not impersonate anyone, and must not contain personal information, links or advertising. Names pass an automatic filter, and we may reset any name that breaks these rules.
5. Fair play
Rankings are only fun when they are fair. You agree not to:
- use cheats, modified versions of the game, bots, scripts or any tool that plays for you or changes how the game works;
- exploit bugs to gain scores, coins or items, or share ways to do so;
- interfere with the game's servers or other players' accounts;
- buy, sell or trade accounts, coins or items outside the game.
Ranked runs are checked automatically. We may remove results that fail these checks, withhold or take back rewards earned with them, review flagged accounts, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Coins, items and purchases
- Coins, boosters, cosmetic items and other virtual items are a licence to use them in the game. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money or anything outside the game, and can't be transferred to another account.
- Purchases are made through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy, except where the law of your country gives you other rights.
- Purchases that unlock something permanently (such as Remove Ads) can be restored on a new device through the game's Restore option. Coins and other consumable items are used up when spent.
- We may change the prices, contents and availability of items in the game. Nothing you can buy affects the rankings, and nothing for sale is random.
7. Ads
Routeville shows ads, including videos you can choose to watch for a reward and occasional ads between levels. Buying Remove Ads turns off the ads between levels. Ads are provided by third parties; we aren't responsible for the products or websites they advertise.
8. Rankings and rewards
Ranking boards, rewards, events and their rules may change over time. Ranks and rewards are decided by the game's servers, and their results are final once a board closes, except for corrections we make under section 5 or to fix an error.
9. Our content
The game, its name, characters, art, music, sounds and all other content belong to MIT Games or its licensors and are protected by law. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond playing the game.
10. Changes and availability
We keep improving Routeville, so features, levels, items and online services may change, be added or be removed. We try to keep the game available, but we can't promise it will always work without interruption. We may stop offering the game or its online features; if we do, we'll give reasonable notice in the game where we can.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop playing at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or where the law requires it. Sections 6, 9, 12 and 13 continue to apply after these terms end.
12. Disclaimer
The game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't give any warranties about it, including that it will be error-free or always available.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, MIT Games is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, progress or virtual items, arising from your use of the game. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for in-game purchases in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
14. Privacy
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the game changes. The "Last updated" date above will change, and for important changes we'll let you know in the game. If you keep playing after a change, the updated terms apply.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where MIT Games is established. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections the law of your country gives you that can't be waived.
